Road Recordings Projects - An Overview

Unlike most commercial works, these recordings are both perfect and imperfect – a result of incorporating limitations and unique environmental effects, brought on by the interaction between sound, place, and people. Though the performances and recordings won’t always be “perfect”, if there is such a thing, they will be authentic. Listen carefully and you will hear elements of nature, street noise, doors opening and closing, and more - all of which reflect how sound, places, and people interact and influence our sonic world. Through these projects, we hope to help you discover more about current musicians, undiscovered talent, unique places, and the complexity of sound engineering.

OTHER

Sound is all around us. Not only is it one of the first senses humans develop, it can be used to create emotions of happiness, sadness, and anger - and it can be used for healing or as a weapon. It's no wonder that sound work can't always fit nicely into a category. Discover other sonic works here.
