Road Recordings - Viljandi Folk Festival Sessions

WHEN:
Road Recordings will be at the Viljandi Folk Festival on Friday and Saturday, July 27th and 28th, from 12-3 and 5-7. If you are interested in recording a song and contributing to the project, sign up using the form below.

ADDITIONAL INFO:
Road Recordings is about capturing live performances in unique environments. The Viljandi Folk Festival sessions will be outdoors, with the sounds of the festival as part of the recordings. Since the area is open, people may gather to listen to your interview and performance. We will be using professional equipment to capture the best possible recording, with a maximum of 8 inputs as of right now, without headphones. Each reservation slot is 45 minutes, to allow for set-up and recording. Please arrive 15 minutes early. Once you are miked up and ready to record, we will interview you to find out more about you, your instrument, the song, or any other musical information you would like to share. We plan to release a compilation in the fall, in partnership with the Viljandi Folk Festival, and also plan to release the interviews as an online podcast for people to listen. We will have a photographer/videographer on-site taking picture so we can help promote you and your music on our website!
